
“Regitra” issues two types of international driving permit. These amount to additional documents alongside the national driving license. The aforementioned documents are necessary for drivers travelling to and driving motor vehicles in foreign countries that are not part of the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA).
“Regitra” issues two types of international driving permit these are as follows:
1. Valid within countries that are part of the Vienna Convention (see third column: Accession(a), Succession(d), Ratification).
Driving permit of such type are valid as long as your national driving license is valid but no longer than 3 years.
2. Valid within countries that are part of the Geneva Convention (see third column: Accession(a), Succession(d), Ratification).
The validity period of the aforementioned driving permit is 1 year.
If you are travelling to one of the countries that are part of the Vienna or Geneva Convention, you will be required to present an international driving permit that is compliant with the requirements of the applicable Convention. If you are travelling to a country that is part of both the Vienna and Geneva Conventions, we recommend you to order the international driving permit compliant with the requirements applicable to the Vienna Convention.
