The State Enterprise Regitra, which examines future drivers, continues the digitisation of the examination service – from 2011 the electronic system for the collection and processing of examination results was introduced in all examination centres of the state enterprise contributing to greater transparency of the examination process and operative generalised analysis of exam results.
“The system of processing examination results facilitates cross-sectional analysis of exam results. We are planning to publicise summary data, which means that the system will be useful both for driving schools and residents who are preparing for driving examinations. The enterprise benefits from this system because it offers the opportunities to make in-depth analysis of marks given by examiners and decisions made by them”, – said Saulius Šuminas, Deputy Director General of Regitra.
The examiners of Regitra who assess the skills of future drivers enter the examination results in the protocols using digital pens from which the results are transmitted electronically to information systems of Regitra.
Each individual who has taken the driving examination can find the digital protocol of the exam in the Drivers’ Portal of Regitra.
The electronic system of collection and processing of examination results was installed in Regitra under the EU-supported project “Transferring driver’s license issuance / replacement services to electronic environment”.
The survey of residents conducted in 2010 has shown that the system of organisation of driving examinations in Regitra is rated positively by great majority (82 %) of residents. The enterprise already offers free on-line service of registration for examinations and ordering the driver’s license with delivery to the place chosen by the applicant.
In future Regitra is planning to continue devoting great attention to the quality of service rendered to its customers developing professional skills of its employees and introducing advanced information technologies.
