All driver‘s licences issued in the EU Member States as well as Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein are valid in Lithuania without any restrictions.
The persons from other countrys (for example, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Lebanon, etc), who permanently resides in the Republic of Lithuania, must change a driver‘s licence issued in a foreign country for a Lithuanian one. The new driver‘s licence is issued to such person only after he/she passes a theoretical examination and submits all the necessary documents.
Driver‘s licences issued in the Republic of Lithuania are valid until the date specified in the licence.
