Data of the information system of the State Enterprise Regitra will contribute to the improvement of driver training

With a view to promoting the higher driver training quality the State Enterprise Regitra designed free specialised information system for the country’s driving schools enabling them to obtain online all data about mistakes made by individuals during their driver’s examinations in Regitra. The system has been developed and implemented using EU financial assistance.

“The information system launched this year is already providing data to more than 300 establishments of the country licensed to provide the drivers’ training. We hope that the data of this system will be useful and will increase the opportunities of driving schools to improve their training process,” – said Saulius Šuminas, Deputy Director General of Regitra.

The information system data enable to analyse the preparedness for examination of each individual who has completed the driving school and taken examinations in Regitra.

According to the generalised data of Regitra, the results of driver’s examinations of the last year, compared with 2009, reduced almost by 1 percentage point. The practical driving examination was passed on the first try* by 37.5% of all individuals who took the driving exam last year (in 2009 – 38.4%).

Last year, like in 2009, the driving theory test was passed on the first try by 73.7% of all individuals who took the test.

Regitra provides the driving examination services not only to the first-time seekers of the driver’s license, but also to those who want to restore their driver’s licenses after being deprived of the right to drive motor vehicles for one year or longer period.

More than 60% of future drivers register for the driving examinations on the internet website of Regitra.

Regitra is a member of the International Commission for Driver Testing (CIECA).
