State Enterprise Regitra has updated the sample motor vehicle purchase and sale agreement
    State Enterprise Regitra announces that as of 1 November 2015, upon new law provisions coming into force, those selling motor vehicle have to provide more information about the motor vehicle in the purchase and sale agreement than was previously required. They also are obliged to specify any significant defects of the vehicle.
 
    The list of mandatory information that must be specified about a motor vehicle and its defects has been approved by the State Road Transport Inspectorate under the Ministry of Transport and Communications. It is established in this list that when concluding a motor vehicle purchase and sale agreement, the following information must be specified:
• the make of the motor vehicle;
• the commercial name of the motor vehicle;
• the vehicle identification number;
• the mileage of the motor vehicle (odometer reading);
• whether or not the motor vehicle has valid  compulsory (periodical) technical inspection (PTI);
• accidents or other events in which the motor vehicle was damaged during the period for which the seller was the owner of the motor vehicle, as well as all other accidents or other events known to the seller in which the motor vehicle was damaged.
 
    The following defects must be specified when concluding a motor vehicle purchase and sale agreement:
• brake system;
• steering mechanism and suspension elements;
• lighting and light-signalling devices;
• driver and passenger safety systems;
• exhaust system.
